Default Untouched ‘67 420

I originally posted these photos in the Off Topic Best Car You’ve Seen Today (Not Yours) thread but thought I would share them here as well. There aren’t too many of these in Edmonton (or anywhere else for that matter I guess) so it was nice to see one out and about doing some errands. Not that it’s done much of that! Waited for the owner to claim her - only the second owner of this all original (supposedly including the paint!) ’67 420 with a grand total of 34,000 miles. The bonus photo is the ‘01 XJR I use daily for my own errands.

Looks pretty clean, but the chrome "surround" on the rear wind screen is missing.

Yes they tend to fly off at high speed as the glue gets brittle and they are either run over by a following car or it is such a bitch of a job to get them back on that it is easier to leave them off.
I think both left side doors have been painted along with the sill as they are a different colour to the wings and lacking lacquer by the look of it. Might be the angle of the photo but...............

untouched not. Must be a restoration with a low miles replacement speedo.

But nice to see a well-restored 420, not as nice a Jaguar model as my well-conserved S type, but nice anyway.

Loctite 480 is one of the few products that glues the rear screen chrome on properly.
