Upper A arm fulcrum shaft rusted tight
I have a 1961 Jaguar Mark 2. I am changing all bushings for the front end. When it came to the upper A arm fulcrum shaft it was not coming out. I tourched it, used sledge hammer, I used an impact air hammmer and full can of penetrating fluid. No movement. Is there anyone who has had this problem. If so I would truly be grateful for any suggestions. Rich

If you have not used Aerokroil or Kroil penetrant (Aerokroil is the spray version), get some from the internet and it should break it loose. This stuff will remove manifold nuts so rusty, they have no shape. I used to restore classic motorcycles and this stuff saved a fortune in parts. You just cannot do restorations without it.

Are you sure you mean the upper wishbone, it doesn't have a shaft, the lower one does, if you have used a sledge it is probably not much use any longer as you can damage the ends where the split pins go through easily even with the nut still on.
The lower shaft goes inside a tube that runs it's whole length, if it is rusted all the way it will be an absolute swine to get out, they are usually ok in the middle, but corroded at the ends, the Aerokroll should do the job, just need time to let it creep in.
