Is the headliner supposed to be all "saggy" like that when it's closed ?
No ~ that's a mess that has become detached like Jose's fixed roof has or it's partially open. I suspect partially open when one looks at the standard of the rest of the car. That car must come close-ish to the 100 point mark where visible in the video ~ not elsewhere. It's major failing are signs of powder coating or polishing having taken place over severe corrosion that may have been neutralised but has not been repaired. The cam covers are awful ~ Need the Cass treatment. The rest is underneath. The console is also a mess. A strange combination of excellent to shoddy. Pity the general standard has not been maintained overall. A car made to look pretty at a distance but not overall. Won't stand up to close scrutiny.

I think the S type in the video was in Classic Jaguar magazine last year. It's a home restoration. As I understand it, 'Fosseway Classic Car Workshop' is bunch of enthusiasts pooling resources, not a professional business, and shouldn't be confused with Fosseway Performance.
There's some interpretation in the above, but I think that I have it right.
It is too bad about that car Glyn, a bit more effort to put things right on the details.
The back panel on the drivers seat for example, how difficult would that have been to do that correctly ?
Even looks like the frame may be broken _ the guy is probably pretty heavy, but still...
It's possible that the panel let go because there's something wrong with the frame.
Absolutely Jeff. As I say ~ A strange combination of excellent to shoddy. Also things like interior door handles in wrong orientation etc. I could get really picky about it but won't. At least it's another car saved but it is far from accurate.

[QUOTE=jjsandsms;2609766]We just joined the forum and are about to purchase a MK2. We want to install a folding sunroof like they originally were fitted.
Some research say Webasto made kits but searching it seem they are out of business as the link in the page below is not found
Can anyone help us search out a kit or even a used one from a parts car.
Or is there an alternative folding sunroof for the MK2?
Thanks
jjsandsmsI have a 1963 mk II. BRG 5 speed. Project. Roof in good working order. Also has AC and all original docs. Will sell as parts car or with title.
thanks Oleh
The Webasto I had fitted to one of my Alfas had the interior sliding into the dome cavity between the headliner & dome. The exterior folded itself back onto the roof of the car.

It looks as though it may be operating on a very small scale if at all. By various accounts, the operation has passed around some small trimming companies in recent years and stuttered as people have dropped out of the business.
