New seal received this morning from SNG BARRAT.

Same reference but two different joints there is not a hitch there?
Look closely at the shape of the two joints laid flat.

Même référence mais deux joints différents il n'y a pas comme un hic là ?!
Regardez bien la position des deux joint posés à plat.

French man, I wish I could help you but I think you have to fit the glass and seal first, then the chromed moldings.
In the picture it looks like there is no glass?

I am not sure what you mean, are you saying they have the same part numbers ?

One is the rear window and the other is the front, what problems are you having ?

Je ne suis pas sûr de ce que vous voulez dire, dites-vous qu'ils ont les mêmes numéros de pièce?

L'un est la fenêtre arrière et l'autre est l'avant, quels problèmes avez-vous ?

Did you take the windscreen out yourself ? If you did, you will know there are two parts that make up the seal - (1) the seal itself, and (2) a filler strip that expands the seal once the windscreen and seal is fitted to the car. Normally a special tool is needed to fit the filler into its slot in the seal. It is a long time since I fitted the windscreen to my Mark 2, (around 1987), so my memory may have faded so apologies. However as I recall, the seal is fitted to the windscreen first, then a long piece of string is wound twice round the outer slot in the seal leaving the two ends next to each other. The windscreen and seal combination is then offered up to the car by two people, then one of those persons keeps the windscreen pressed against the aperture whilst the other person pulls gently but firmly on the two string ends thus pulling the seal over the steel lip of the screen aperture until it is all nicely installed. The filler strip is then inserted using the special tool so that the ends meet at the bottom of the screen. Finally a sealing mastic is applied to the glass-seal lip, and the seal-body lip, and the surplus cleaned up.

The windshield is installed.
the filling strip is a chrome partier?
if so we'll put it soon.

Sorry, I forgot about the chrome trims, (chromed brass, by the way).
The chrome trims fit over the top of the filler strip to hide it and make the car look good. The seal has two lips that the trim fits under each side. Again, there used to be special tools that made fitting easier, but you should be able to improvise, but take care not to scratch the trims !

thank you very much, everything is in place.
But look at the chopsticks sold by SNG BARRAT, it is impossible to mount them, so we restored the old ones and we mounted them:

merci beaucoup, tout est en place.
Mais regardez les baguettes vendues par SNG BARRAT, il est impossible de les monter, alors nous avons restauré les anciennes et nous les avons monté:
