Default 01 jaguar x-type 2.5 v6 sport

Hi all I've had my jag for about a year now and it's the best car I've ever had, I've piano blacked the old wood dash and retro fitted 2 range rover SVR front seats into her and they look and work brilliantly, she's turned into a bit of a project lol, but I only intend to fit jaguar land-rover parts, so that's me and this is my question, what does the serial number look like on the radio unit? How many digits should there be? I've kraken it out but nothing is obvious, trying to get the code is a pain in the ****! Lol thanks in advance for any advice

Welcome to the forum Wheelo,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

The radio Serial Number (and Jaguar Part Number) is usually on a paper label stuck on the outside of the unit. I can't imagine why you would want the Serial Number - do you mean the Security Code? If so, its a 4-numeric code and doesn't appear anywhere on the radio units. Any Jaguar Dealer can look it up for you from the VIN provided it's still the original radio fitted to the vehicle.

Follow this link X-Type ( X400 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X-Type forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
