Default 12 Year Wait is Over

Hello Fellow Jaguar Enthusiasts,
I have been very patiently waiting for the day I could join as an owner of my very own Jaguar. I was so fortunate to find my 2004 XJR with 49,700 miles, within 30 miles of where I live. I have been searching all over for the Platinum Silver over Dove Grey with Navigation packaged XJR for quite a while. I just put it away for the winter into heated storage with 50,450 miles. It has never seen snow and I will keep it that way. It is quite the experience for a 12 year old vehicle.

Hello, Tim,
A 12 year old car with only 50,000 miles is well explained; it never sees snow in Wisconsin!? It must only get out during High Summer!

Nice Car!

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Thank you all for the greetings. I have put it away for the winter after only driving it for five days since acquiring before our holiday . Looking forward to April now.

On a battery tender?

Modern Jaguars are very sensitive to battery condition and can show all kinds of weird electrical faults if the battery is not kept fully charged.

Graham,
After an inquiry with the local Jaguar dealer, I was advised to disconnect the battery. I do have a trickle charger also. Thanks for the concern. -Tim
