Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.
Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.

thanks for the info, this mark 7 looks to me like a rolls royce, heheheheheh,I really love the lines simple and smooth,I figure I have about two months of work to be able to drive it around town, the summer to really finish this baby,Right now Im refinishing the interiuor, I pulled everything out and worked on the wood,I have to make sure all the gages work,, have a buddy who knows his stuff and will help me out with all that,he also told me not to buy the car , said it wasnt very admired by the jaguar community,I told him i love the car and for me Its about restoration,

JoeyT: Welcome to the Forum. We'd like to see pictures of your project car posted--when you get a chance. I bet your buddy will like the car when you've completed the restoration. Now, if you can just figure out where to put the 1000 watt amps and the sub-woofers.

I took two pictures of my mark 7 before I wrapped this baby up for the winter,we have had so much snow I havnt been able to do anything,,One of my sons slipped his boat Into my garage and I have my 85 XJ6 in the garage also so I had to wrap the Mark 7 like a baby and its sitting in 4 feet of snow but totaly safe from the elements,I layed out a pool cover and drove the mark 7 onto the cover, then wrapped the car with sheets and then pulled the rest of the pool cover over the car so Its tight and snug, stripped the Interior wood, dash and trim and have allready refinished that,,,, Next is the right rear brake cylinder, I have the kit for that, then some minor body work, I registered the car with a 1953 license plate that I got with the car, I want be driving this baby this spring,

Here in Australia, many a wealthy grazier drove a Mk 7 Jag. They were renowned for there ability to cover huge distances in a short space of time over pretty rough roads.
One of my all time favorite Jags.
