Default 1966 Jag E type question for a novel

Hey everyone, I'm editing a novel. The main male character drives a 1966 Jaguar E type. So that the description is authentic, will someone please tell me whether the E type has a lever inside the car to release the hood? If not, how does one go about lifting the hood of a 1966 E type. Thanks!!

There are *two* turn-and-pull release handles.

If you were sitting in the left side of the car, facing forward, the left side release would be forward and to the left of your left knee. The right side hood release would be just the opposite

Cheers
DD

Default Here's the sentence; about opening the hood of an E type

Hey fellas,
Please read this sentence and see if I've captured popping the hood of a 1966 E type correctly:

He leaned over, clutched, turned and yanked the two hood-release levers and then hopped out of the Jag.

Thanks!!
