Hello from N. Iowa. New to this forum. I have an 1989 XJ-6 in the garage and I am trying to put a new head liner in. Can anyone tell me how to get the old one out. I have dropped the old but just can't get it out of the car. I have removed the seats but the console appears to be to much to handle. Will it come out without removeing the console or do I need to recover with it in the car? It's a four door car and appears the front doors are close to being big enough but not the backs. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

If in one piece, I'm not sure, but IIRC the windscreen needs to come out.
