Default 1996 VDP Steering weave

I have a 1996 VDP that has developed an intermittent steering weave and I am trying to figure out if it is the rack or the steering pump. Very disconcerting especially over 70 m.p.h.

Default Got a secong Jag

My original was a 2000 XK8 that I was given in pieces, has 150 k on it, but also have 1996 VDP with less than 100k on it. These cars are addictive.

Hello,
If my car did that suddenly I would suspect front end alignment first.

However, someone will be along soon to direct you to the correct section where others who know more about your model can help you get to the bottom of this.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome aboard.

The X300 Tech section has heaps of info in the top "stickies".

I remember?? something about rack mounting bushes and a shim fitment to stop just that, but that was years ago.

Welcome to the forum Swampjag,

(I've merged your two Intro threads together)

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xj-xj6-xjr6-x300-26/ to the X300 forum and this one https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xk8-xkr-x100-17/ to the XK8/XKR forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top of each is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
