2 Jags in 6 months
Hello!
My name is Owen!
I have one wife, one child, one XE and one XKR.
I've owned various cars over the years but mainly for functional use rather than fun (the last car i had for fun was a 1989 Honda CR-X 16v about 15 years ago) until now... I moved house back in February which put me in a situation where i would need to drive to London every day rather than commute by train. I bought a 2.0D XE in April for the commute as it is comfortable, economical and can be fun when you want it to be.
I drive over 100 miles a day round trip so had no option but to buy a diesel mile muncher. As enjoyable as the XE is I found myself wanting more power but upgrading to the V6 supercharged version was not viable as a daily drive car so I started hunting around for a low cost high powered weekend car and stumbled across the XKR. I had never imagined you would be able to pick these up for such ludicrous prices!
About 3 weeks ago i became the proud owner of a 52 plate 4.2L XKR Coupe in Jaguar Racing Green with 20" Montreal wheels and brembo brakes. This will be the topic of most of my conversation on here.
That is a little bit about me. Nice to meet you all, i'm sure i will get to know all the regulars over the coming months and years!
Cheers,
Owen

Welcome to the forums Owen,
Good to have you with us. I certainly don't envy you that commute!
I know you've already found the XK8/XKR forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
