2003 X-Type front seat belt retractor issues

2003 X-Type front seat belt retractor issues
Hey everyone. My wife just HAD to have a Jaguar X-Type. So, she got one. It's a truly beautiful car in outstanding shape, both cosmetically and mechanically. My issue with the car is that the front seat belt retractors really don't work. And when you go to put the seat belts on, the pretensioners pop out of the B-pillar plastic trim. Is there a quick fix for this, or do the retractors need to be rplaced with new OEM parts? Let me know, as this is the kind of thing that drives an **** retentive like me insane. Thanks.
