2004 S Type 3.0 intake manifold gaskets options, spark plugs
Hello, I am new here. I need to change my intake manifold gaskets, I have a few questions.
Fel-pro vs OEM (dealer) do they matter? I ask because a few years ago I had to replace IMT gaskets, I bought fel-pro. Only lasted 6 months. I went to dealer and bought new ones, still in the car fixed the problem. I hate to believe that oem is far more better than fel-pro, I have been buying fel-pro for other cars for 20 yrs now, and never had an issue until that moment.
Does it really matter what brand of spark plugs I use? A few years back I put in new plugs on 1,3,5 cyl since one fouled, I used Bosch double platinum. Got engine light few days ago for P0300, P0301, P0303, and P0305, rough Idle on cold start!! So I replaced bosch with Bosch Iridium plugs 9606 and it ran even worst, better off with old plugs. I later found out intake manifold gaskets have a leak, I used MAF sensor cleaner near gaskets and it would rev up.
Since I have to do upper and lower gaskets, might as well do coils and plugs. Again, do brands matter, for plugs, gaskets, and coils??? I already bought Standard UF435 coils, any experiences with them? I hate to obsess with oem parts, but I do not want to do this job twice. Thanks
