hello all, i bought a 2005 x type 3.0 with 70,000 miles and have put about 3k more on it since i got it. joined the fourm in hopes of learning more about my car and the issues that may come up like the fact the my a/c just stopped blowing cold air and it seems that the a/c clutch isnt engaging and also a coolant leak that just started.

Yup. 10 years old is about the time these things start to pop up.
We have a very active X-type section, someone will be along shortly to direct you there.

Welcome to the forum bmeza001,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the X-Type tech forum with the AC issue so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the USA Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/western-us-ak-ca-nv-ut-hi-wa-id-38/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

thank you all. i was able to diagnose the coolant leak to my water pump starting to fail. bought a new pump for 25.00 usd from ebay and decided to replace the belt with a gates belt (11.18 Amazon) and both throttle body coolant hoses (35.43 amazon)and had it all installed by a mechanic i send a lot of work to for 100.00. I recharged the A/c myself since i work at a body shop and that seemed to fix the problem for now but i have a feeling i will need a compressor soon.in all I spent 171.76usd and my car is running great

Good to hear it.

For a Jaguar, you got off very lightly at that total spend!
