88 XJ-S H&E newbee
Well I may have jumped into this Jaguar thing, but so far am loving it. I work on computers all day and thought the inside of some programs was difficult. I am looking forward to diving in and getting this car up to snuff. I am a real detail person so this looks like fun, I have already talked to the engineers at work and we're working on "the leaky" fuel system. There has to be a way to do this duel tank better. Then I looked under the hood, wow where to start, a maze of wires and lines. I thought logic would come in handy although right now throwing that out the window and diving in. Will try to keep the work up to date on here.
I do know I am looking forward to each drive in her, she gets the looks and has the personality I like. See why you all love them.

Greetings,
I would have thought that someone by now has made the fuel tank problem their pet project...have you looked around for aftermarket suppliers? None of the factory Jag tanks are suitable for the configuration of the convertible top well on the H&E. It might be worth shopping around for a replacement version already in production before you try to seal your tanks up.
Those cars came in new off the truck smelling like gas, and the leaks were everywhere: both tanks, interconnection hose, lower fuel sender gasket, etc. I think the warranty claims might have been what put H&E under, they didn't last long after 1988.
Up front, just make sure the injector hoses are in good condition and you'll have no worries. If you see any that show their age, pull the fuel rail and replace them all. Enjoy your Jaguar!

Here ya go, check this tycoon out:

This is a bit humerous, as my quick read tells me that this guy is a rocket scientist who points out numerous flaws in the fuel system, and then admits he hasn't corrected them all yet. Last entry 2006, maybe he gave up.

Well going to see what I can do with the fuel system, I work with some really great guys, and there having fun with trying to design it right. If necessary can have a new one made here. Thanks for the input on the hoses, was first thing I was warned about. I replaced most of them, in time will get the rest.
Thank you all for the welcomes,
I have put some pics under the user cp, and as soon as I figure how to post here will add some.
