Hey there... I just bought a 2002 XK8 convertible with 93000 on it in the Marin area... The ONLY convertible for sale thru a dealer within 300 miles in fact.

It's gold and still at the dealership as they fix a few things including replacing the Belt tensioners and making sure the engine and ABS lights do not go on. It's in very good shape except for a couple of minor things.. ie the cover to the lighter/ashtray does not close correctly, seems a hinge may be broken, and we are not sure if there is a boot still around.

But the TOP works and looks great... the tires are all new and what little driving I did get to do - what a BLAST!

I owned a 2001 Acura CL-Type S until I gave it to my daughter last year for her birthday and got a prius.. THAT was too much of a change so I gave my wife the prius and found the XK8... all I wanted was a convertible, wood steering wheel and accents and a great stereo...

The XK8 fit the bill... and with Edmunds showing no mechanical problems for any of the 97-2004 XK8's... I jumped in.

When I get it back I will take photos.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

They will be taking the next week or so to go over everything and tighten it all up.... Since it's been under 40 here, I really don't mind.

But buying it then not having it for a while... just hope that's not a pattern that continues...
