Talking Acquired "Newbie" 97 xj8 Sapphire Coupe

So, I acquired our Jag from my ex to settle a debt, and I must say I have some cosmetic restoring to do since he gave up on it 6 months ago. :-( I hear cha-ching everytime I inquire about something, but happy to have this jewel. I saw some numbers last year when he we bought it, this one is rare... NOT a rag top, but sapphire coupe and from what I read only 44 were imported into US and only 4 left. Hope I can verify this one. (I wasnt paying attention since my hubby drove it)

I'm just happy to have her and look forward to bringing her back up to speed. I reside in Daytona Beach...and she will no longer face the sun!

Happy to see a forum since there is no manual, and it is learn as u go at this point.

:-)

Welcome to the forum,

Cosmetic resto needing to be done is generally better news than major mechanical work as far as the $$ are concerned. Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xj-x308-xj8-xjr-27/ to the XJ8 section for help and advice.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Graham

Welcome to the forum QOTS,

Good to have you with us.
Is it an XJ or an XK?

If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.
