Default aircon relay for 2004 X-type

Hi guys, having trouble with the aircon blower, (not working) and subsequently no aircon, suspect the relay is "kaput" or "cactus" but can't recognise the unit in the fuse box. any suggestions?

Hello,
Not much more annoying than AirCon not working properly. I'm fighting with my own at this very moment.
hope members of our X-type section can tell you an easy fix.

Welcome to the forums fritzherscheid, I have added you to the Qld Roll Call thread. Getting a lot of high 30's here at the moment so my XJS is in the process of having air con sorted.

Welcome to the forums fritzherscheid,

Is this the one you want?

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x-type-x400-14/ to the X-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Thanks Graham, illI check it out tomorrow. Fingers crossed that it's the relay and not fan motor. Ps: I've checked the fuses. I suspect that this Aircon works similar to the Merc. No clutch and if gas level to low or high the sensors shut everything down.

We don't get much need for cooling in England so my AC knowledge is consequently limited!

If it's not the relay and you need to pursue other possibilities, members in X-Type forum with the same model will be able to help. I suggest you start a thread there.

Graham
