Default All foreign all the time

After many years and generations, and numerous over-seas vehicles, A Jaguar is at last part of my family! I was lucky enough to get my hands on an exquisite 97 XK8, with 37k original miles. There literally isn't a blemish on this car, it's practically straight off the showroom floor. But alas, it is a Jaguar after all, and I shouldn't even have to explain the necessity of preemptively joining a forum to help me out on all my future endeavors with it. Despite it's natural factory beauty, I am about to embark on a number of cosmetic and performance tweaks to make it a little bit more my own. I'll be posting results, and asking plenty of questions along the way, I'm sure. Wish me luck everyone, I look forward to speaking with you all soon!

Welcome to the forum David,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

You can also visit the USA Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/western-us-ak-ca-nv-ut-hi-wa-id-38/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

No, David, you don't need to explain.
Most of us are in the same boat, and know what we were in for before we ever signed on the dotted line.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome, David. Your Jag sounds like a real find. Best of luck with it!

Btw, I had a '72 (super)beetle for 7 years in the '80s.

How DO I add my XK to my signature? In my profile screen, I click on my garage, and it puts up a message saying I don't have a garage, but doesn't give me the option to add one. I may be car smart, but I'm forum stupid. Any help is greatly appreciated!

near the very top of the page in the upper left corner - look for the User CP link. Click this link, then on the left hand side look for the settings and options section - you should see another link in that section for signature

Welcome David! Sorry I missed this thread a couple of months back, but thanks for your Idaho shout-out in the regional section! I'll stick you on the list.

My Cat's first home was in Idaho, so there's a kindred spirit for ya
