Allow me Aboard 85 Series III
Hello All
My name is Hamilton and I am a retired NewYorker, recently moved to Melbourne, Florida. I ain't planning on shoveling any more snow.
Anyway I just purchased a Series III Jag which was sitting in the PO's driveway since he also moved from NY in 2005. Reason?
He says that he lost the Ignition Keys. I found the car to be excellent bodywise, but it stayed with the sunroof open for all these years.
The front seats are destroyed. Fortunately, I was able to purchase the front seats on Craigslist. I believe It was a steal.
The pair cost me $120.00. Dyed same color as my upholstery (Biscuit I believe) He said he got the dye from Leatherique, but he really did a crappy job applying the dye.
I will redo them eventually. Since I am a glutton for punishment, I am also doing a complete restoration on a 1978 MGB. That's another story.
Anyway, I am looking at the forum, and from what I have read, the site has some very knowledgeable individuals. Special mention to a gentleman named DOUG, and FRASER who seem to have excelled in their knowledge of these cars. HIP,HIP, HOORAY to a great forum.
I would like to be welcomed to the fold of great people who really know these cars. Thank you so much for allowing me the opportunity.
