Default Another Aussie

Hi all,
After a bit of searching I have taken the plunge and purchased a 1974 xj6l 4.2.
Read many posts on here and with some help am certain that the jag and I will have many years together. Whilst I am certainly not a mechanic I am not frightened to have a go. I currently drive a 2000 model Range Rover and has taken me a couple of years to get it right with all work so far done at home on my own.
Wishing everyone all the best!

Welcome to the forum Daf11e,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

The biggest problem with the XJ6 in the Northern Hemisphere was rust but in the Australian climate they seem to last forever. You could be together for a very long time!

It sounds like you probably already know your way to the tech section but if not, follow this link XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XJ6 Series I, II & III forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the Australia - New South Wales / ACT Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/a...-wales-act-93/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Welcome.

If you have sorted a "Rangy", then you a special breed indeed.

The Jag will be a walk in the park, REALLY.

Hello,
You have, in my opinion, the Jaguar that Most identifies the marque!
I'll look for you over in our Xj6 section.
In the meantime, Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
