Another Classic car enthusiast buys an xk
I have always been a classic car guy. Ive owned hotrods and a classic Vette and just fell in love with look of the xk coupe. I am certain this will be a classic and believe it to be the best looking car of its generation. I bought a 2006 xk8 coupe thinking it would be the most reliable since it was last year before the model change. I was interested to find out if there are any more classic car guys out there that have fallen for the xk?

I also have been more of a classic car guy. Had a 71 Chrysler 300 that was a true cruiser.
I've also just recently fell in love with the modern technology and styling of the XKR. Found a 2001 XKR Silverstone edition that is in terrific condition.
This forum is an inceredible source of information.

Thanks for all the replys, This forum is an incredible resource! I have been going through some of the older threads and have learned a lot about these cars already. So far the car is running perfectly, but ya BlkCat i share your concerns, the limitless electronics on this thing is intimidating to be sure. Never really got into anything newer than 1973, so a lot of this will be new to me. I Was actually looking for a sixties convertible and then decided to veer way off course and buy this car which i have been eying since they came out years ago. So far i am really glad i bought it and knowing forums like this existed is what gave me the confidence to do so. Anyways glad to be here and hope to contribute in the future.
