Default Bill Cain from Canada

I have owned a 1986 XJ6 since 1990. The car still only has 65,000 kilometers on it and has not seen a winter yet and won't as long as I own it. I purchased it from a guy who was giving up driving. I had it completely stripped down windows out all the chrome off and and painted 2 years ago because of cracks in the paint. I also had a new headliner installed and the insulation under the hood replaced and installed new perelli tires as I still had the original ones on it. It is still such a pleasure to drive even though I have only put on about 300 to 400 k a year.
Does anyone know where I could optain an original build sheet for the car?

Thanks

Bill

Welcome to the forum Bill, sounds like a real peach you have there, not sure what you mean by an original build sheet, but check out the XJ6, XJS, and XJ40 FAQs, we have quite a few documents for download.

Cool cool, we have nearly the same xj6, mine is a 87 , purchased in 1990 and I'm lucky to have been 2nd owner as well. You hailing from Canada, I wonder how the cold affects your starts and overall effects on the car.

The cold does not affect it as I store it from the end of October and take it out again in May. Is your 87 a Series 111?

Yes Bill, mines a III series xj6 as well. I should be able to upload photos soon, I would link them if I had a clue how to do so. I did store her for two years when my wife passed but my kids talked me into putting some effort into her since the car was always an enjoyable ride and my late wife's favorite passenger seat.
