Default Bluetooth reception

Having just sold the '04 XK8, I must say that I am liking its replacement, '08 XK. I am finding the bluetooth clarity is great, as long as the car is standing still. When moving, reception/background noise is so great, others cannot hear me. Just for kicks, used a stethoscope to listen to the pillar where the mic is located. The noise detected is pretty significant. I was thinking about relocating the mic to another location (as I did listen once again to a bunch of other places to find the quietest place to relocate the mic). Anyone else having this problem, or is it just my car? Thanks for you input.

Hello David and welcome to jaguarforums.com. I know that you are anxious to get started and we are anxious to meet you and talk about your car. We have a baseline / criteria that must be met before full access can be granted. Please enjoy the forum and be patient once the baseline has been satisfied full access will be granted. Please continue to post and accept my welcome to the forum.

Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.

Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.

Welcome to the forum ricxke,

You should check the audio and XK forums for more info on your problem.

Default Thanks for the welcome and enthusiasm

Guess I probably should have started by thanking all of you for the information you have provided for some time now. Although I had not signed up earlier, I regularly searched the forum when I had questions concerning my XK8. To be honest, usually found what I was looking for. All too often people forget to say thank you. Please allow me to express my appreciation for the time and dedication that the contributors of this forum provide. I am looking forward to giving back as well. While the newer cars are far different from the old, I still have my first car (1974 MG Midget), and have been tinkering with British cars since 1974. I have to admit to being surprised as to how many parts from my E-type actually carried over to my XK8. Think it had about the same number of quirks as well. With that, I thank you all once again for significantly contributing to my very happy Jaguar driving satisfaction!
