Morning All, Im Mike.

Aquired an X Type 2.0D Sport on a 54 plate over the weekend. Dark blue, black full leather interior and so on. Seems a nice smooth car, well looked after and only 53k on the clock.

Im an Emissions tester at the Jaguar / Land Rover site at Gaydon, so see and drive all types of Jag's and LR's including the prototypes.

Other interests include Target shooting and Painting/Modelling.

Shall try to be of use with any info Im able to help with whilst Im here!

Hey Mike. Must be nice to see/drive so many different Jag's in your job. What year is your 'new' X-Type?

Mike, welcome to the forums. As you have seen, we are a delightful little group here and we strive to have fun. So, grab a cup of coffee, sit back and relax. But most of all, have fun.

If you can, get some pics of the prototypes. I'm sure a lot of us would enjoy seeing what is in the works for the future. I'll be curious what the new rear ends are going to start looking like with this new process I read about the other day (one piece tailgates and trunks with the light housings moulded into the lid). I can see a lot of interesting ideas happening with it.

Hello Mike and welcome to jaguarforums.com. I know that you are anxious to get started and we are anxious to meet you and talk about your car. We have a baseline / criteria that must be met before full access can be granted. Please enjoy the forum and be patient once the baseline has been satisfied full access will be granted. Please continue to post and accept my welcome to the forum.

Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.

Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules.

Be patient and enjoy the site.

Sparky88: Ze car is a 54 plate, but in good nick.
Thermo: Sorry cant be taking any photos Kinda against the company rules with all the secrecy and stuff around such things.
Gus: Baseline criteria? Im on multiple vehicle forums, not heard it put like that. 100 posts before trying to sell stuff and so on? I've sorted the sig thing though for some reason your site doesnt update previous posts with the new changes though.
