Unhappy Boot Open Message On

I am having problems with the "Boot Open" warning light coming on on my S Type.
I had a faulty Boot Switch (boot light would not go off when the switch was pressed) fitted a new switch and this now switches the lights on and off when pressed but after a few days of no trouble the "Boot Open" warning light comes on randomly (there are no sudden bumps, speed bumps etc that could be causing the issue ) then just as randomly goes off?
Do I need to clear the old error codes that may have been logged in the vehicle's management system?
Ian stumped and would be grateful for any pointers from fellow Forum members out there?

Welcome to the forum JOSE97,

Follow this link S-Type / S type R Supercharged V8 - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the S-Type section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You may also like to visit the UK Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-68/ to find other members in this country.

Enjoy the forum.
