Brand new
Hi everybody
I am new here! My name is Klaus and I live in the south of Germany at the lake Starnberg.
Last year I bought a Jaguar XJS '92 4.0 manual in British racing green in Milan Italy. No rust but Italian servicing. Unbelievable! I am still working to get the car to run properly.
They removed the catalytic converter and they more or less did no work properly. So the car looks great but doesn't run great.
The engine is the problem... Idle is rough and up and down. The fuel consumption for a manual far too high. The falt on display is ff24.
So far I changed the catalytic converter, O2 sensor, IACV, airflow meter, spark plugs... The ECU was checked by a professional. No change and I am running out of Ideas...
Does the AJ6 engine have a crank shaft position sensor? Any other ideas. I would be very grateful for any help!
Cheers Klaus

Hello, Klaus,
I'm sorry some incompetent mechanics have made your car so bad. Very few mechanics understand cars more than 5 or 6 years old, 10 at the most, and usually only the top selling models of those. However, with the help of the Gurus in our XJS section where GGG has directed you, you'll have it running properly soon.
Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
