Default Brit, Now Living in Australia, Searching For Old Skool Cool

Hello All,

As above I'm looking for some "Old Skool Cool" and to me that comes in the form of a Series 1 XJ6/12 or a Series 2 XJ6/12-C.

My Dad had a few when I was a kid and I've always had a soft spot for them.

I have got my eyes on a White Series 1 XJ6 but I'm waiting for a response from the owner before I take a look at it.

I've always believed that forums like this are essential to keeping older cars up and running and I very much look forward to sharing the knowledge.

Woz

Welcome to the forum.

My wine merchant has a S1 White Man/OD that he keeps trying to sell me.

Maybe one day I'll give in.

Woz,
Welcome to this friendly forum. Many of us owe our Jaguar ownership to the support we can get here - I'm sure you'll find the same.
Rich - isn't buying a car from a wine merchant even more dangerous than buying wine from one?

Welcome to the forum Woznaldo,

The Series I and II's are popular with Australian members. Follow this link XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum for help and advice.

Hope the deal works out and you can move the XJ6 into your 'Current Cars' list.

Graham

Thanks for the warm welcome from all.

I still haven't had a reply from the number attached to the S1 XJ6. I bit gutted really as I was already doing some planning in my head! That said, the Jag bug has well and truly bit!

I'll keep you all posted.

Welcome to the forum Woz,

Good to have you with us.
I hope it works out but you'll find another if not.

If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.
