Default Buzzing

High to everyone im new here. I brought a 2005 2ltr diesel last month. Its first time ive ever had a jag. Nice ride, nice looking car veru happy with it. Ever since I've had it I've noticed that when i turn the ignition off there's a continuous buzzing know matter how long i sit there waiting. Whatever it is it must not be draining the battery has it starts beautiful first time every time. Any thoughts please? Thanks

Hello,
Congratulations on your new Jaguar!
That buzzer sounds like a warning of some sort. Someone will be along shortly to direct you to the correct section where you can learn what it is and how to stop it.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to the Forums.

Not much info on the beast involved, but being Diesel and GB, I reckon an X Type.

The members in the X Type Tech Section, should have clues.

Good luck,

Welcome to the forums Leeshep,

If it's coming from around the steering column area, it has to be the warning buzzer sounding for some reason (e.g. lights on) as most other things would discharge the battery.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x-type-x400-14/ to the X-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.
