Thanks for the warm welcome. I've added my vehicles to my sig, just feeling a little conspicious because there isn't a Jag to be seen. I've been considering moving back to the marque ever since the XF appeared, my last Jag was a 91 4.0 XJ40 Sovereign, horribly unreliable but so lovely to drive. I went to the recent Alive driving event in Alameda which just sealed my fate, what a difference 20 years and some investment makes. Now I just need to find myself a nice, off lease XFR.

I studied automotive engineering at Coventry University in the early 90s and witnessed first hand the problems that the British motor industry had so to see Jaguar regularly place in the top 10 of reliability surveys is great to see.
I also have had some pretty poor experience with BMW dealers here so I'm keen to see how the Jaguar dealers compare.

You say that but I'm pretty picky on spec and I'm trying to weigh up whether I get a 2010 now or wait a while until the 2012s start to appear on the used market.
My 535 has a warranty on it for another two years or 100k and with my driving pattern i'm likely to hit the mileage limit before the two years is up. The prospect of owning this car without warranty cover frankly scares me as it has already racked up nearly $20k of warranty repairs in the short time I've owned it.
Of course if a nicely optioned black or dark grey XFR turns up with black or red interior I'll be chopping in das panzer-wagon as fast as you can say "silicon carbide".
Anyone got any advice where to stick the dog or should I continue my letter writing campaign for Jaguar NA to bring over the Sportbrake?
