Default Car won't accelerate but will reverse

Hi my name is Simon I recently bought a 2006 Jaguar s type 4.2 l V8 in a car is getting immaculate shape and I really enjoy your car over this past winter the car was under snow for 4 days and when I went out to start the car it would not crank over... Afternoon inspection I realized that the battery was old so I replaced the battery I replaced all the spark plugs I replaced the O2 sensors front and back how to change the fuel pump in the gas tank I have replaced the fuel filter I have drained all the old transmission fluid out and put replace it with new transmission fluid I have turned the oil out of the car and I have put honey motor oil into the car first and then I added the regular quarts of oil that go to the car
car.

My problem is I can crank the car up and I can put it in reverse but I cannot get the car to go into drive or accelerate forward upon placing the car in reverse the car will go in reverse after three RPMs and it barely moves... When I tried to put the car into drive or drive 5,drive 4, drive 3, or drive 2 the car will not go forward the RPMs just revs I had a garage fault code come on the car as a car isn't receiving performance I have replaced the gearbox to the car with a brand new one and it gave me a little bit of power but not a lot I need help if anyone has any answers to my problem I'm open for all solutions I don't just want answers I want the right solution to this problem thank you very much Simon

Welcome to the Forums.

I suggest a re-ask in the S Type Tech Section.

That ZF trans can be a tricky thing to enough oil into.

Good luck.

Welcome to the forums Simon,

I prefer to make one change at a time. For example, fit a new battery and then make sure everything works before moving on to another task such as a sensor change. This way, if something stops working, I can go back over what was just changed.

I can see you've already found your way to the S-Type forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Southwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-southwest-37/ to find other members in your region.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

From one S-type owner to another... Welcome. The S-type forum is populated with a very friendly group and contains a wealth of knowledge.

You might want to add your location to your profile, as this will help others to help you in the future as this is an international forum. Also, if you add your car's details to your signature line, it will avoid other forum members having to ask for the details if you post to a technical forum.

Your issues would be best discussed in the technical forum, as there are a number of possible reasons that your S-type won't move going forward.
