Welcome to the forum chepaig,

Good to have you here with us at Jaguar Forums.

I knw you've already found your way to the X-Type forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the UK Region forum by following this link UK - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in this country.

Enjoy the forums.

Hi all and thank you, I will spend more time on my details when I get my car sorted right now its panic time. I am a member of UK forum but there is a vast knowledge across the pond.
In the forum some of the terminology you use will take a bit of getting used to and all our friends off the US air base have moved on.
I will persevere chepaig.

Thank you one and all for all your help. I tried to do too much with not enough time, it's now 0200 Hrs I have got my MOT test at 0700 Hrs it failed a week ago, LH rear wheel sensor fail and third brake light fail, I tried to save money by fixing the brake light myself, I also failed. It wasn’t for the lack of help, thanks again. When I come back Graham I will slow down and try to put the right info in the right box’s.
Wish me luck and small bills tomorrow, from chepaig.

Worth keeping in mind for next year - you can go for an MoT up to one month in advance of the expiry date. If the car passes, you get a new Test Certificate from the actual expiry date (a 13 month MoT). If it fails, you still have a valid Test Certificate and a month to carry out repairs.

Having to remove the headliner to get to the third brake light is a bit extreme. Things like that make me hate Jaguar!
