Cool Clueless owner of a MK2

Hi everyone - greetings from a warm and sunny Brisbane (Australia).

I'm Vincent and since late last year the owner of a 3.8l Mk2. I got the car through a friend who had left it outside for a few years. It's half dismantled so basically it's a car that comes with a few boxes of components!

I had always wanted to restore a classic car so needless to say I was very happy when I got the opportunity to restore such a classic beauty as the Mark 2.

Unfortunately, I have zero experience and knowledge. I learn as I go along, doing most of the work twice (once incorrectly and once correctly!) After searching online I found this forum, which I liked a lot because it's one of the few that is very active. I'm not sure at this time what I can offer but my intention is to be as active as I can.

That's it for now, not sure what else to share with everyone. I'm looking forward to sharing ideas and suggestions.

Cheers

Vincent

Hi Graham - many thanks for your reply and the links. No doubt they will come in handy!

I've updated my signature, although the mileage doesn't seem right as the state of the car doesn't reflect the low number. Has probably ticked over a couple of times...

Welcome to the forum Vincent, I will add you to the Qld roll call thread.
I like motorcycles that come with boxes of bits,my kind of project.

Maybe you could start a thread with some pics of your resto and update your progress from time to time. We love photos of other peoples work.
