Default Completed my bucket list – got a jaguar!

Always wanted to own a jaguar for many years. Turns out it’s the older ones that are in my price range. Picked up a 2003 jaguar S type 3.0 engine from a friend who had maintained it incredibly well for 10 years. He bought it from a friend who had purchased it and also maintained it beautifully for the first 10. Now has 204,000 miles on it and just running like a top! I am replacing the valve cover, gaskets coils and plugs. We’ll see how it goes!

Welcome to the Forums.

That V6 is so underrated by many, but they are a strong reliable unit.

Clean air, clean fuel, clean oil, drive on McDuff.

Good luck.

Hello,
Congratulations (I think) on filling your Bucket List, with your S-type Jaguar!
Does this mean your departure is any time soon?? I do hope not!!
You need to at least drive your car to 300K, driving the wheels off and kissing the red line. That's how they know you love them.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Thanks to all. Any photo out there of the torque sequence for the valve covers? I'm ready to put them on. I know the torque is to be 89 inch lbs.

For editing personal details, the User CP is top right on my computer, not top left as is stated in the instructions.
