Hello, I am a new member. I sold my 03 Corvette driving way to fast all the time, found a Great looking Classic XJS 2+2. Found in California, one owner 68k Jade Green, learning to drive normal. lol.

Welcome. I have a 69 Corvette but commute to work in an XJ8. I enjoy all sorts of cars, each for its own special character. From a C5 to an XJS is quite a change, but both on my own wish list. I just wish I could afford to have everything on my list all at once. Good luck with your new old Jag.

Welcome to the forum mardigrasman,

Congratulations on the XJS. Driving any Jaguar can never just be 'normal'.

Follow this link XJS - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XJS section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also find the US Lower Atlantic Region section by following this link Lower Atlantic - NC SC FL GA - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forum.

Graham

Default Trouble shifting out of park

Just bought this car and found that with foot on brake I have trouble with shifter being locked in place. If I continue to hold brake several more seconds will shift out of park. Manual shows how to manually release shift. Going to try some electrial cleaner to electrial connection and see if that helps.
