Smile Dad's Jag

Hello

I'm Alex, froggiess guy with 43 years old...

My biggest passion are the car.

Actually, i have a BMW 328i e36 convertible 1996 and a BMW M3 E46 2001 Track Toys.

I present here because of the car of my old father, a S Type 2.7D (sorry) of 2007 , first hand with 99000 km (62 000 miles).

Unfortunately, my dad have a bad disease and he can't drive his car

But we decide to keep it

He had some Jaguar on is life
- 1 XJ6 XJ40 3.2L (british green - beige leather)
- 1 XJ6 X300 3.2L Sport (bleu métal - black leather)
- 1 XJ8 X308 4.0L Sport (british green - black leather)

I like work on my (the) cars for a classic operation same (oil change, brake fluid change, brake remplacement, suspension...).

The M3 E46 track toys (on Dijon Prenois) .If you can drive it on the track , you must do a big maintenance !

The 328i e36 for the week-end.... 1996 so you must work on your car for keep on the best condition !

I have a little program for the Dad 'SType:
- oil change with the filter
- gasoil filter change
- brake fuild change
-pass the technical control

and continu to maintain the leather on the good condition, change the oil of the automatic gearbox ...

For keep this car for a long years !

Thanks for your hospitality !

I have an advice about the radio code. This winter, i change the battery and I don't find the radio code on the doument of the cars ?

I see what we must remove the radio of the cars for read the digit number of the radio ... Could you confirme me?

Have you got an other solution (see directly on Jaguar dealers)?

Thanks

Alex,

The code is never shown on the radio when the vehicle comes from the factory. Originally there would have been two code cards like this example from my XK8 of the same period.

These frequently go missing but any Jaguar Dealer can lookup the security code number for your vehicle from the VIN. They don't need the radio serial number so no need to take the radio out.

Alex,

Enter the four numbers of the security code on the keypad and it should unlock. However, this will only work if the ORIGINAL radio is still the one fitted in the vehicle.

Graham, it's ok. I have the radio and also a beautifull and modern GPS

Some picture about the maintenance of the car

The oil (2 years ago and 5000km)

The oil filter

The air filter

The gasoil filter

The brake fluid change

A beautifull original brake (front brake - 10 years ago )

Unhappily, i don't have the antilheft lug nut... for purge the rear brake. I must find it for finish the work and check the brake.

Alex,

If you put your last post #13 in S-Type forum as a new thread, you will get many more Views and probably Replies from members with the same model. Many members read the Intro threads but don't come back again follow later posts in them.
