Default End of a long mostly fun journey.

I sold an Infiniti G35 and a '68 Firebird convertible 5 months ago and spent the subsequent 4 1/2 months just looking - everywhere, for the perfect car.

One of the first cars I drove was an XF. I immediately liked the model, but not that particular car. Drove the following at least once: XF; Infiniti G and M; BMW 3 series; Mercedes C and E; Mini Cooper; Audi 4, 5, 6; Huyndai Genesis, Sonata; Ford Fusion.

Decided I needed a Maserati Quattroporte - spent the next month talking myself out of it.

Filtered leads on Cars.com, Craig's list, AutoTrader, and submitted more than a few bids on Ebay.

Latched onto a 2011 XF Claret/Barley/Truffle on Ebay from a dealer named GEARS. First time I purchased a car on Ebay and it was smooth. Unloaded off an enclosed hauler two weeks ago and have enjoyed every minute of it.

Love the car. Glad I waited until I found this unit.

Friends give me the usual jabs like "have any electrical problems yet", blah blah blah. But the car is so freakin nice that they can barely squeeze it out.

Joined the forums to ask and to share with others. Looking for a second key fob. ordered the chrome side vents and will install those when I get them. Need to replace the cream colored mats and get a good car cover.

Looking forward to some good exchanges with you all.

Cheers.

Great choice! It is a beatiful car, the XF. The Jaguar forums will give you the ability to endlessly, and nerdishly, memorise the impressive features of your car. Then your friends will be ashamed at owning a 535i or some German nonsense .

385 horsepower can't be too bad either.

you'll find that many of our members are incredibly knowledgeable, and there is a definite camaraderie on the forums.

By the way, if our Admin swings by, please please post some pics! (you need a few posts and days on the forum first, to post normally)

Cheers and welcome,

Ian

Welcome to the forum,

Sounds like you had a lot of fun searching before you decided on the Jag.
Make yourself at home.

Default Thanks

for the hospitality. Will post pics when it stops raining here in Arizona. Of course when it stops, it's for about 6 months.

Thanks for the tips and the secret handshake.

Found two new buttons on the beast today, along with the DVD player.

Not sure why this rabbit has a pancake on it's head...
OUT.
