Ever optimistic Jag owner
Hi Everyone,
I've owned 3 Jags in my life, an XJ6 (which I no longer have), a 2000 XJ8 (which has been cursed with the A drum twice) and a 1990 XJS convertible. The XJ8 is running nicely at this point and I love the styling. The XJS convertible looks great, but ................... The paint, the top and the interior are all really good. The engine starts and runs, but doesn't hold a warm idle well. I'd love to be able to fix that so that the car is reliable. However, before I bought it several years ago, it looks like it had a small fire and people "worked" on it. The distributor was changed back to a Lucas, the fuel rail changed, the fuel regulator repositioned, the bonnet doesn't shut properly and the harnesses mucked about with. But other than that, it's great. I live in the Orlando area, but spend a lot of time in the Seneca SC area also. I'm looking forward to being part of Jaguar forums since there appears to be a group of like minded eternal optimists. I really want to get this XJS back to being what it should be, putting on my Dai cap and looking good. Mike

Welcome to the forum Mike,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
Unpicking someone's well intentioned modifications can often be a pain. You optimism and the forum XJS experts should get your reliability issues resolved.
I can see you've already found your way to the XJS forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the US Lower Atlantic Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/u...r-atlantic-66/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.
