Finally got myself a Jaaaaaag
Hello,
I'm Miq and although I am Spanish from birth I live in Nottingham (UK). A few months ago I bought an X-Type but decided to get rid of it after 4 months
After doing the slave cylinder, clutch and loads of maintenance to it I've been driving it and although the car feels great we never really good to grips with it, perhaps because of the bad start (slave cylinder went). I am a very mechanically driven person and didn't like so many cables and connectors under the bonnet. In any case my wife wanted to choose the car and guess what?? instead of going for a Prius she has chosen a XJ6!!!!!!!!!!!!! (this is probably one of the reasons why I love her!).
After much looking around we tested a local one, 3.2 from 1996, dark metallic green with only 1 tiny bit of rust. 90k on the clock and most of the services done in an official Jag dealer, all MOT's with no advisers. The moment I got in and drove it there was an immediate connection with it and all the memories from me driving my dad's XJ40 sitting on his lap back in the day came back to me we believe it's going to be a keeper, just wants new tyres and I will service it properly this weekend but feel fortunate to have found such a good example, inside it looks as good as new!
So far I've changed all the filters and fluids and have fitted some XJ12 wheels but some new, rarer ones are on the way
Cheers,
Dad's (I'm the smallest lad there)
