G'day,

My name is Colin and I joined only yesterday. I live in Bathurst, NSW, and overlook Mount Panorama, probably the best and most famous motor racing circuit in Australia.

I own a Jaguar XK8, MY 2003, Jag Racing Green, 72000 km, my "Sunday" car and my pride and joy. I am owner no. 2 and while I have had the Jag for 2 years I have only just discovered you guys!

I look forward to meeting new friends.

Welcome colin! how the heck did you miss us for so long...did you just discover the internet? j/k, there are a couple good jag forums out in cyberworld, but this one has the fancy layout and very cool smilies to add to our posts.

<- see what I mean? Try advanced mode in your editor.

Anyway, glad you found us....there was always something missing, and now I know what it was.

Welcome to the forum Colin,

Glad that you found us eventually.
I've watched sidecar racing from Bathurst several times, looks like a great track.

Welcome to the forum!

Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.

Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.

Bikes no longer race at Bathurst - it is considered too dangerous, particularly the Cutting, Skyline and the Esses. There is a move to extend the lower part of the track for bike racing utilising the existing pits and parts of Mountain and Conrod Straights. Phillip Island is the main bike track in Australia.
The DVD's of V8 racing on Panorama are great watching.

Gus,
Thanks for the advice. I am a bit of a computer illiterate - my sons gave me my first computer for my 70th birthday. Now there is a secret that that should not have been revealed!

My dad is 77 and he gets around on computers better then most. He bought a mountain bike at 70, I think is going through a middle age crises
