Sweet Jesus it's taken me 3 days and 3 different email attempts to get accepted onto this site, I would have been quicker signing up with the freemasons!

...But I'm glad I'm finally here and I would like to introduce myself as an extremely proud owner of a black 2002 XJ SPORT V8 AUTO (last of the X308's) and I have to say I am absolutely delighted with the character, charm and performance of this beautiful car.

This is the first Jaguar I have owned and I have wanted one since childhood (I am 39 now, I bought this car as a guilty weekend pleasure, and as a replacement for my BMW 5 series). She has full service history and 62000 miles on the clock and she is a credit to her previous owner.

I Look forward to reading through some of the posts and learning more about this iconic car which I consider to be the last of the real Jags.

Welcome to the forum Stan. I'm fairly new here myself.But I have already found it to be extremely educational,and some rather good reading. The members seem to be a bunch of fantastic guys.
Just be careful using phrases like "guilty weekend pleasure", that tends to make guys like me have a rise in blood pressure, heartbeat etc. Almost to the point of "Stirrings!" LOL And if you're anything like me,yours will soon be known as your mistress as well. That's why I call mine (2003 XKR Conv.) Heather. Welcome aboard, she sounds like a sweet ride.

You are going to have even more guilty weekend pleasures than Sqeet after all you have a usable back seat for your 'sweet ride'. No wonder he is jealous of your mistress.

Seriously there is not much the members know about Jaguars on here and if they don't there will be half a dozen folks that are willing to find out and report back.

Great reading on preventative maintenance on about how to avoid trouble and how to get out of it if you can't avoid it.....kind of like where Sqeet is heading by the sounds of it.
