Where are the freaking homelink buttons ? on the rear mirror ? somewhere on the dash ?

If on the rear mirror, if I buy a rear mirror with homelink buttons, will they work ? or needs some software update ?

Can someone post pictures of the location of the homelink buttons on a XJ ?

 

Mine are on the bottom of the rear view mirror. Are you missing the mirror on yours?

 

Homelink is optional in some countries. Your car may not have it.

 

Based on the programming instructions I'd bet that the homelink is contained in the mirror assembly.

 

Mine also are located on the bottom of the rear view mirror.

The Homelink buttons are on the bottom of the mirror.

The mirror looks to be in mint condition, but the rest of the car...

again a weird part of the manual that came with my car ( and yes, its an original Jaguar manual ) - from the picture on it, it seems the buttons are on the dash ( seems that they used a illustration, on my manual, from a x350. typo perhaps ? )

now I get it but I dont have the

If you don't have AHB light, just buy mirror with Homelink buttons and replace your mirror.
If you have AHB Light, sometimes you need to reprogram HCMB module for correct working of Jaguar Auto Hi Beam Light.

 

Be aware that the USA uses a different frequency for garage door openers that Europe & the rest of the world, so buying a mirror with a garage door opener from the USA will probably only lead to you frustration.
