Default First Time Jag Owner in VA

Had a fun visit with my Dad this weekend to introduce him to my new (to me) 1994 XJS. Over the years he has gotten on to me for former ownership of a 1990 Miata and then a 1983 911SC asking when was I going to buy a "real sports car". This past week he has just finished a full concours restoration of his first British car, the 1969 MGB that I got to drive while in high school in the '70s. He adds this to his concours restored MGA and TR3B. Now he is starting a 1956 Austin Healey 100-4. Since he is 80, I don't know that he is going to get around to restoring his MG-TD and Morgan....I think he was pleased that the prodigal son had returned home with a proper British car. Looking forward to spending time with him working on my new toy at his hobby garage and going to some car shows with him.

Welcome to the forum Frank,

I'm also pleased to hear you've got a real car at last!

To keep ahead of your Dad with it, follow this link XJS - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XJS section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You may also like to visit the US Mid Atlantic Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/mid-atlantic-md-va-dc-de-wv-65/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forum.
