Default First time post, first time Jaguar owner

Here is the story behind my new to me 2010 Jagua XK-R. My neighbour across the street, who is 91 years old btw, has this Ice/Frost Blue 2010 XK-R in his garage that I have been trying to buy for the past 3 years. He is the original owner, and the car has literally 12,000 km on it. He never drives it. So one day a couple weeks ago, I see that his garage is open as he takes the trash out and the Jaguar is missing. I went right over and asked...and he tells me he decided to trade it in!!! He didn't feel comfortable selling to someone he knows. Well...I'm kinda pissed but hey, it's his decision and I can't force him to sell it. Well I'm depress because this car was a true UNICORN!!! No KM's on it, no accidents, 1 original old guy owner who NEVER drove it.

Well I called the dealership that he traded it in to and they tell me the manager bought it for himself. So..now i'm really depressed. I'm walking my dogs, and low and behold what do I see on the street over from me? The Jaguar sitting in the managers garage!!! I had no idea he lived near me. Well, turned out he didn't buy it as it was out of his price range...long story short I bought it on Friday from the dealership at what I think was a good price. Sure, it definitely cost me more to buy from them than it would have from the original owner, but hey, I wanted THIS particular car and so I paid.

So...here she is. 2010 XK-R (Now with 13,115 km) one owner, mint, no accidents, no issues etc. As I understand it, this is a fairly rare colour correct? Either way.... I NEVER thought I'd own one fo these...and honestly I have been looking at corvettes instead...but then I would have just been another 50 year old white guy in yet another boring average Corvette. Now...I'm feeling like a rock star in a car that to me....is one of the few "perfect" cars for high performance and luxury available at ANY budget. Thanks for allowing me to join!

Hello,
Hearty Congratulations on your finally successful purchase of YOUR Jaguar XK-R!
What a Lovely color blue. I've never seen Any Jag that color from factory.
So glad you didn't become another of the endless herd of "50 year old white guys" in another Boring Corvette.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
