hi all, just thought i'd drop in here too since i'm a new member to this forum. i also posted on the "wanted" section but maybe i should have posted here first?? anyway, i joined this forum to help a friend out...


we're looking for a "speedometer drive gear" for a 1967 jaguar E type, 4.1 with a borg warner transmission.

that's the information i was given by the owner of the car. i don't know a thing about jaguars but i figured somebody on this forum would be able to help us out. any advice on where to find this part would be greatly appreciated, either by responding here or by PM.

(the owner of the vechicle doesn't have a computer, and is having a heck of a time trying to find the darn part.)

also, i noticed that there isn't a forum topic for E type jaguars -- would the E type be listed as an X type if it's considered an XKE model? (again, i'm a newbie in regards to jaguars and cars in general, for please bear with me!)

hi, thanks for the info on the E type section... no e type owners? well! ;D

thanks ken for that info. i have been away from the computer but will take that part number and do a search online using those numbers... ANGLE DRIVE... will have to remember that too..

if it makes a difference, and i'm sure it does, the car is manual transmission, not automatic. sorry for not mentioning that.
