Hello,

I just acquired a 1999 XK8, I lurked around in here before picking her up and had the cam chain tensioners upgraded , hoses , fluids, plugs. 71000 miles . I driver her home from calmly to Utah averaging 90mph. Took her up to 135 before remembering she is 23 years old.

Thank you for the wealth of information posted here . Love the car!!!

best,

PJ

Hello, PJ,
Congratulations on your new Jaguar Xk8!!
71000 miles is just now well broken in and loosened up!
23 years old or not, She's in her Prime! She'll sneer at 135 mph!

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Thank you all for the welcome. Really enjoy the car. I have owned Porsches in the past and this is my first Jaguar. She has a certain elegance to her.

Are you pulling high G's .......

...... or is it the curse of the smartphone storing every image in landscape?

Smartphones and tablets store an attribute for each image to make it display in the same orientation it was originally taken on the device. This forum and many others cannot interpret the attribute so the image can appear landscape when it should be portrait or even upside down. I used Windows Paint to rotate your horizontal original to give the second one in portrait.
