a jag enthusiast from so far back i cant remember am now in a position to be able to have my toys , currently i own a 98 xjr , previously owned by the us embassy protection unit , so quick , handles well and all sorts of interesting additions , a 1995 3.2 which has been lowered and modified , drives like an old school mini , point it at a corner and hang on to the wheel ....lol . and a 1995 xj 4.0 which has an lpg conversion , so we can afford to run it more economically , or so i told the other half so i could have number 3 .

i like to do the work on them myself and that way i can be sure it is done to my fussy standards ....too fussy according to some previous garages , but i think greasy handprints on the upholstery and bolts cross threaded is a bit too close to sloppy !!

i lokk forward to talking to you al , whether for neededd help or advice i can impart .

long live the old jags !!

Geoff - welcome to the forum. I moved your intro post to its own thread here. You will find a wealth of information and support here. Nice intro and stable of Jags. Recommend adding a signature (include models/years) by clicking the User CP link in the upper left - this helps when responding to questions.

Welcome to the forum Geoff,

Good to have you here with us at Jaguar forums.

I'm amazed to learn the US Embassy needed a protection unit in Norfolk. Presumably on the run from all their unpaid parking tickets in London.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
