I have a 2000 XK8, topaz in color. with approx. 72K miles on it; I got her with 67K on it. It runs great but was reading about the few weak points in design and construction of the car. I called my local dealership, he told the car went through some 29 warranty issues, one the hyd. hoses for the top. My first issue to address will be the tensioners. That same dealer quoted me $6.2K to do them (w/ chains) but I found a independant who has 30+ years certified Jag. experience over in Memphis (3 hour drive for me) and estimated $2.3K instead; just trying to get the time to run over.
I've been reading along on the forum for a couple of months now and decide to join-in...
