The Intro.
Hello everyone,
I have never been part of a forum and thought it would be a great place to gain insight about my car. I own a 1999 XK8 convertible. It has 55,000 miles and for the most part has treated me well except for the top. I had that repaired twice.
I now have a problem which I hope isn't big. I hope to tackle that in the appropriate forum. I live in a suburb of Chicago with my wife and two dogs. Well, I think that's a good start for now. I hope life is treating everyone OK and hope to talk to all of you soon....

Hello red66,
No I haven't put the dogs in the cat. Even though I trim their nails I'm afraid they may scratch things up. I have a Bullkita which weighs 125lb and a boxer that weighs 50lbs. I can't see the boxer sitting still. I can just picture her now trying to bounce back and forth from front seat to back seat.
for git about it...

Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.
Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.

Hi Jagcat welcome to the site
There's usually plenty going on in most sections, most of the time.
You might find the off topic good for fun, maybe check out the mug shot thread and add yours?
Don't forget the regional section and also the detailing section is a must.
Some good guys and great techs, top vendors and more to come....all good
In the meantime I've upgraded you manually to full forum access so you can better veiw the site

In the early 90's I had a Vet & at a red light my then 55 pound pup lab dove out of the window into a puddle rolling in it when I yelled he dove back in and did the shake off in the car! that was the end of that.
