Default Hi from Hershey, Pennsylvania

I have had my 2014 Jaguar F-TYPE V8 S for two years now, I love every bit of it! I have been reading a lot of helpful stuff on this forum for a while now, so I thought it was time to post an intro. I am a DIY guy, and I have other cars too: 2003 BMW 745i, 2012 VW Jetta, 2008 Toyota Highlander. On the bimmer I have replaced almost everything by now, including parts of the transmssion. The F-TYPE is still new, so I let Jaguar do their thing on that one for a while longer, all I have done are a few 5 minute modifications, such as disconnect the small battery in trunk to disable the pesky ECO mode, and install SmartTop allowing top up and down with the key FOB - I love that gadget when I park the car, and even more when I walk back to it on a hot summer day!

Had my F-TYPE on the track once, loved that too! The 8 year old boy inside me really comes out when I'm at the track.

I can't wait to share useful DIY experiences, I hope a lot will be shared as the F-TYPE gets older.

Cheers,
Jakob

Welcome to the forum Jakob,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the F-Type tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.

Welcome JM.

Although I'm in Dallas now, I grew up in Allentown. You have some real nice roads to drive and explore up in the Poconos. (I see you've been to the track!)

Delaware Water Gap is an amazing drive if you haven't been out there yet!

Thanks all for the warm welcome.

Yes, TXJagR, I've been driving through Delaware Water Gap a few times, but not yet in the Jag with the top down - great reminder cause it is a beautiful drive. And in general I love the many PA back roads, many around me are good quality winding roads with nice views and rolling hills!
